Magic Kingdom’s Public Works

Disney Restroom

Some more crowded than others.

I’ve written previously about Disneyland’s City Hall.  Some people would say then that writing about Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom’s City Hall is a bit of a copout.  These people are what you might call morons.

Goofy

Or Goofs.

Though they probably mean well, they are not crazy like me and so I have no intention of associating with them.

Fact is, these parks are quite unique from each other and their accompanying restrooms are therefore unique as well.  See for yourself:

Disney Restroom

Disneyland…

and

Disney Restroom

Walt Disney World.

See?  Totally different.  Now, when you visit these two places, your experience is probably quite different as well.  If you are going to Disneyland, odds are you are a local.  Conversely, if you are going to Walt Disney World, odds are you are a tourist.  As a tourist, you have access to far more restrooms on your way to the Magic Kingdom than you do on your way to Disneyland.

Let us take a tourist’s journey to the Magic Kingdom.  First, you have your comfortable resort hotel room.

Disney Resort Room

Remember to tip your room cleaning Cast Members.

Next, your resort’s lobby.

Pop Century

Plop down at the Pop.

Then TTC (possibly excepted but go with me here), then the Magic Kingdom entrance.

Disney Restroom

I feel magical!

By the time you get into the Magic Kingdom, you have no reason to visit City Hall’s restrooms.  However, if you skipped all those previous opportunities and you feel nature’s pull, City Hall is a good stop at rope drop – it will be empty.  Plus, you can hear again the same dulcit tones as you could hear at Disneyland: “I Demand a Refund” and “Where’s the Nearest Restroom?”, etc.

City Hall is grand at the Magic Kingdom, far grander than at Disneyland.

Fantasia

Yeah, I said it.

But, as far as restrooms go, Main Street here is less grand than its California older brother.  Across the square is Tony’s restaurant.  You’d be rude if you just went there to use the restroom.  Since nobody at Walt Disney World is ever rude, and you are no exception to that rule, it is safe to say that City Hall is the only restroom on Main Street, USA, Fl.  If you skip here, your next chance is at the end of Main Street, at Casey’s Corner or Tomorrowland Terrace, depending on whether you lean left or right.

Disney Restroom

Have a Coke and a bathroom break.

Disney Restroom

Very spacey.

However, just as in Disneyland, all three are to be avoided during parades and fireworks.  During these events, rudeness abounds.

Main Street Electrical Parade

Please proceed to your nearest Transportation and Ticket Center.
