The Toilet Zone

Sunset Boulevard

.

Submitted for your approval: An average restroom in a not so average theme park.  Today’s restroom calls for a different kind of introduction.

Down at the end of Sunset Boulevard sits the Hollywood Tower Hotel.  Amidst the crowds and thunderstorms of a bustling young theme park, the Hollywood Tower Hotel is a star in its own right.  In front of this fabled hotel are stone gates.

A little too much screaming to be considered a Deluxe Resort.

A little too much screaming to be considered a Deluxe Resort.

Picture if you will, these stone gates may not be exactly what they seem.  On the left is what is left of Fastpass kiosks.  But on the right, you’ll find something right out of the fifth dimension.

The real terror.

The real terror.

There are three restrooms altogether down this side of Hollywood.  The spot halfway down Sunset, because of shops and food close by, is the busiest.  Also, if Beauty and the Beast or Fantasmic is letting out, there is a major crowd here.

Look DCA, we have Carthay Circle too!

The spot down near those Rock ‘n’ Rockers is generally the quietest, as most people heading there have stopped in one of the two previous places.

”Love in an Elevator” should be loud enough to hear down near the Hotel, don’t you think?

So, if you stop here on a stormy night, realize that you may be stepping into a nightmare.  When the door opens for you, you may discover what lies beyond the fifth dimension, beyond the deepest, darkest corner of the imagination, in front of the Hollywood Tower Hotel.

Seems legit.

Seems legit.

If you have a fear of sudden drops, then this corner of Hollywood is not the place for you.  In the Tower of Terror Hotel, you may experience sudden drops.  In the restroom, you will definitely experience sudden drops.

If you’ve gone to see the mouse battle the dragon in a dream sequence, consider making a stop here first.  If you wait until afterwards and you gotta go, you’ll follow the huge crowd to the hugely crowded restrooms halfway down Sunset.  You’ll end up waiting in a line so long, you’d wish you were a permanent resident…of the Twilight Zone.

Really crowded and really terrifying.

Really crowded and really terrifying.

Bonus Non-Restroom Tip! – Around back of the restrooms, there is a nice, quiet, reflective spot where one can relax for a while away from the hustle-bustle.  Why not check it out for a nice nap?
