New Toilets, Part 1: What a Circus!

Every time his funny little whistle sounds (toot toot)...

Wasn’t it wonderful?  When New Fantasyland opened, it was something to see.  Remember beforehand, when Mad Tea Party was in the middle behind the castle?  Remember how it used to look like circus tents and now it looks Bavarian?  Remember the debut of Pinocchio’s Daring Journey?  Remember the Chicken of the Sea and Skull Rock?  Wasn’t it just magical?

Woops.  The “New Fantasyland” I describe here was in Disneyland in 1983.  My mistake.

Remember this?

Remember this?

Wasn’t it wonderful?  When NEW New Fantasyland opened, it was something to see.  Remember two years ago when this fun new area opened?  Remember two days ago when it finally finished opening?  Wasn’t it just magical?

The land that once celebrated Mickey’s birthday ad nauseum closed in 2011 and reopened in 2012 as Storybook Circus.

Only the third surprise birthday party today.

And what a circus it is!  This place has been popular since it opened and there seems to be no sign of it slowing down.  As a result, we have ourselves an overcrowded restroom.  Adding to the crowd, this restroom is situated at the Fantasyland Train Station.

All aboard. Or disboard. Or something.

All aboard. Or disboard. Or something.

Normally, I would direct you, loyal reader, away from the crowds.  But this restroom is among the new breed.  It fits in so well with the surrounding circus theme that it is an attraction as well.  The restroom is a natural extension of the train station.  Made to look like a roundhouse, tracks terminate inside the restrooms and come out and around Casey Jr.

Is that garbage on the ground? Call management! Get them over here to clean it up!

Take a close look at that pavement!  You may see tracks from familiar circus animals and maybe a peanut or two.  Don’t forget to enjoy the theming of the trash can here as well.  This place is so well themed, you’ll hear cropdusting from the Barnstormer, AND you’ll hear cropdusting from this restroom too!

At this restroom, you’ll be sure to find hordes of drenched children in need of a change of clothes.  You’ll find packs of train travelers in need of a pit stop.  And, with Dumbo spinning and Goofy flying around nearby, you’ll find patrons stumbling in to leave behind their cotton candy and other circus souvenirs.

Did somebody say souvenirs?

Despite all of these factors, don’t skip this attraction of a restroom.  If you do, you might as well skip all the other must-dos in the Magic Kingdom, like Space Mountain.

Servicing all of Tomorrowland's outlying areas.

Or its nearest restroom…

Next week: New Toilets, Part 2: Gaston’s!
