Lights…Motors…Restroom!

Lights Motors Action

THIS RESTROOM HAS BEEN RETIRED!

…I mean Action!

Back in the way back in the back corner of Disney’s Hollywood Studios (DDMGMHSS) lies a giant, man-eating attraction.  In front of the giant, man-eating attraction is a giant, man-eating restroom.

Disney Restrooms

It’s big.  Understand?

This attraction, entitled Lights Motors Action, is capable of swallowing 5000 people in one quick motion.  Well, not one motion.  More like many motions, squeezing everybody into that stadium like sardines a few times a day.

Disney Restrooms

It is no wonder this restroom has to be so humongous.

The best part about this restroom is that it hasn’t needed to support 5000 people for some time.  That is, aside from the extremely busy times of the year.  These times are otherwise known by the Disney company as “Extremely Busy Time”.  Also known as “Christmas Day”.  Just kidding of course.  On that day, everyone goes to the Magic Kingdom.

Disney Restroom

Empty Backlot.

At all other points of the day besides just before or just after the show, this restroom is absolutely deserted.  Imagine that, a giant, man-eating restroom with nobody in it.  It is as good as an e-ticket with no line.

Haunted Mansion

Yeah!

Now, consider Hollywood Studios as a whole.  This park is currently going through some serious downsizing in the attraction department.  American Idol, Studio Backlot Tour, and Johnny Depp’s Fun Pirate Show have all been recently shuttered.

Disney Restrooms

Is this goodbye?

Most of the folks in and out of The Know on Twitter are saying a Star Wars Toy Story Land is on its way.  And you thought Frozen had all the fun.  I, of course, know everything and therefore will reveal the real reason for these closings:

Toy Story Playland

Budget Cuts.

Whatever the reason, this much is true: less attractions elsewhere means more crowds here.  So, you may see a bit of an uptick in accompaniment if you venture over to Lights Motors Action now.

Lights…Motors…Pet Stop!

This is especially true during Extremely Busy Time Christmastime, when this part of the park is referred to as Osborne Lights Motors Action.  Okay, nobody actually calls it that.  There is speculation that Lights Motors Action is on the chopping block, so I suggest you head over there and experience the attraction while you still can.  Failing that, at least experience the restroom.  Failing that, go to Paris.

Disney Restrooms

Failing that, just use the Muppet Restroom.
