Hersheypark – A Restroom Report

Hersheypark

I can sum up the town of Hershey in one word:  Chocolate.  Everything is chocolate.  The streets have chocolately names, the business are named “Cocoaplex”, etc, and all alcoholic beverages contain chocolate.  I believe it is a law.

Hersheypark

Drink me.

Hersheypark is chocolate too, but it is also roller coasters and restrooms.  The beautiful small town of Hershey is enhanced by the beautiful large park of Hershey.  The walkways are sometimes cramped, but the park is quite large, from one end to the other.

Prepare for a bellyache.

When traveling to Hersheypark, your first stop should be Hershey’s Chocolate World, a store where you can easily spend a fortune on chocolate and chocolate accessories.

Yum.

Here you can take the free Chocolate Tour, an omnimover-style ride depicting the chocolate making process.  Then you get a free kit kat!  Warning, the song is an earworm.

Hersheypark

“It’s the milk chocolate! Hershey’s milk chocolate!”

Also, you can find these delightful restroom signs:

There is nobody this slim here. It’s the milk chocolate.

Now, on to the park!  The entrance (Founder’s Way) features these restrooms to the right.

They are small but the building is cool.  Like a brick…chocolate house.

Along Founder’s Way you can find nicely themed buildings…

Just like in Germany!

…selling Disney stuff inside…

Just like the Disney Stores in Germany!

Restrooms are generally conveniently located, one per “land” and near e tickets.

Dispatch!

The restroom buildings are themed to the lands in which they are located.  The signs are all the same, save for the land icons.

And Midway America, for example.

There is also a zoo attached and it is included in your park admission.

Hersheypark Zoo

The entrance is in the back of the park, rather easy to skip past.

It also has restrooms.

The monorail is a nice ride and respite from all the roller-coasting.

Climb aboard for a scenic journey over some restrooms.

Make sure to enjoy the also-included-in-admission waterpark on a hot day.

Best aerial restroom shot ever.

My favorite land was Pioneer Frontier, home to a couple of my favorite roller coasters and this delightful restroom.

The rugged indoor plumbing days of the Old West.

And if you really want to enjoy a restroom, I suggest you order the Reese’s Extreme Funnel Cake for lunch.

I ordered a water because I’m watching my weight.

All in all, Hersheypark is lots of fun.  Come for the chocolate, stay for the screaming.  And chocolate.

Until next time!

Looks like the park is chock full of fun, hope you had time to savor it all. All the brickwork in the theming raises the bar, even if the town is milking their claim to fame to the point of nuttiness. Thanks for the wrap-up.

Oh, one small typo: in the animal section, you wrote “zoo” instead of the generally accepted spelling “not-a-Nahtazu”.
